Justin Reed is a managing director in the firm’s strategic advisory business, focusing on the medtech and life sciences tools & diagnostics sectors.

Since joining Evercore, Mr. Reed has been involved in numerous global and domestic transactions across the medtech sector. Select deals include advising GE on its acquisition of BK Medical; Philips on its acquisition of BioTelemetry and Capsule Technologies; ArcherDX on its sale to Invitae; Keystone Heart on its sale to Venus Medtech; Alere on its sale of Epocal to Siemens Healthineers and Triage assets to Quidel; Terumo on its acquisition of Bolton Medical and Sequent Medical; and Abbott on the sale of its vascular closure business to Terumo.

Previously, Mr. Reed was an associate in healthcare investment banking at Jefferies and spent over 12 years in medtech startups, venture capital, and research and development.

Mr. Reed earned his B.S. and M.S. in physics from the University of Washington and an MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.
