John Mason
John Mason is a managing director in Evercore’s Utilities, Infrastructure and Transport strategic advisory team.
Mr. Mason focuses on multiple sectors, including power generation and the broader energy transition. Recent deals include the sale of 11 bioenergy assets by Equitix; the sales of three bioenergy plants for Glennmont Partners; the acquisition of a majority stake in global solar developer ib vogt by DIF; the sale of ESB’s stake in Tilbury Green Power; iCON Infrastructure’s acquisitions of Wind Estate and a stake in several FCC’s energy-from-waste plants, and its sale of two bioenergy plants. Other significant transactions include the sale of Viridian (now Energia) to I Squared Capital and the acquisition of E.ON’s Iberian business by Macquarie and Wren House.
Previously, Mr. Mason was a partner of Lexicon Partners, acquired by Evercore in 2011, and helped establish its first overseas office in Hong Kong. Earlier, he worked with N.M. Rothschild & Sons’ M&A team.
Mr. Mason has an MPhil in Finance and Economics from Cambridge University and a first-class bachelor’s degree in economics from Leicester University.
