Jim Renwick
Jim Renwick is a senior advisor in the firm’s Equity Capital Markets advisory business. He joined Evercore in 2016 to establish a dedicated EMEA ECM advisory team supporting the industry teams.
The Evercore ECM team has advised on a wide range of equity transactions, including ConvaTec, the largest IPO the U.K. in 2016, raising £1.6bn of new equity; Melrose Industries on its £1.65bn rights issue to fund the company’s acquisition of Nortek; Sabre Insurance on its £316m IPO; Hurricane Energy on its £530m combined equity and convertible bond transaction; Network International on its IPO in the U.K., raising £1.3bn; Nexi on its IPO on the Milan Stock Exchange, raising €2.3bn; and Peter Hargreaves on the sale of £850m of Hargreaves Lansdown shares across two accelerated bookbuild offerings.
In 2019, the team jointly won the IFR Global Capital Markets Adviser of the Year Award with Evercore’s Debt Capital Markets team.
Mr. Renwick began his career with Ernst & Young in Australia, followed by Citicorp Scrimgeour Vickers in the U.K. He spent almost two decades at UBS, leading EMEA and U.K. ECM and chairing corporate broking. He then spent six years at Barclays, where he founded the U.K. ECM and corporate broking teams.
Mr. Renwick holds a Bachelor of Economics from the Australian National University.
