Iain Silverthorne
Iain Silverthorne is a partner and wealth & fiduciary advisor at Evercore Wealth Management. He is a member of the Investment Policy Committee and the firm’s investment decision-making body, the Asset Allocation Committee. Additionally, he serves on the External Manager Selection Committee, responsible for the selection, due diligence and monitoring of all third-party investment managers. In this capacity, he primarily conducts research and due diligence on passive and “smart-beta” investment vehicles, as well as socially responsible and impact investing.
Prior to joining Evercore in 2009, Mr. Silverthorne was a senior vice president at U.S. Trust, advising clients on financial planning issues, including tax-efficient asset allocation and investment strategies, estate and wealth transfer planning, liability analysis and cash-flow planning.
Mr. Silverthorne earned a B.A. from San Francisco State University and an MBA from Pepperdine University’s Graziadio School of Business.
