Doug Rogers
Doug Rogers is a senior managing director in the firm’s oil & gas acquisition and divestiture strategic advisory practice.
Since joining Evercore in 2011, Mr. Rogers has advised Ensign Natural Resources on its $3 billion sale to Marathon Oil; Forge Energy on its $946 million sale of Delaware Basin assets to Oasis Petroleum; Marathon Oil on its $1.1 billion acquisition of BC Operating ’s Northern Delaware Basin assets; Clayton Williams Energy on its $3.2 billion merger with Noble Energy; Panther Energy II on its $775 million sale of Delaware Basin assets to WPX Energy; Kimmeridge Energy Management on its $1.5 billion sale of Delaware Basin assets to PDC Energy; and Kinder Morgan on its $38.1 billion acquisition of El Paso Corp. and subsequent $7.15 billion sale of El Paso’s upstream assets to a private equity consortium led by Apollo Global and Riverstone.
Prior to Evercore, he worked at Tristone Capital, BMO, and Scotia Waterous advising clients on divestitures in several basins across the U.S. and South America. His technical career began at ExxonMobil. He spent much of his time there focusing on tight gas in south Texas and heavy/tight oil in California and Kuwait, as well as running evaluations in Qatar and offshore Abu Dhabi and Romania.
Mr. Rogers earned a B.S. in chemical engineering from Brigham Young University and an MBA from the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas.
