Christopher Brand
Christopher C. Brand is a senior advisor in the Private Funds Group, after serving as senior managing director and leading PFG’s origination, project management and distribution activities in the Western U.S. and Western Canada since 2011.
Notable sponsor originations and representations include HGGC, Genstar Capital Partners, STG Partners, Alpine Investors, Diversis Capital, K1 Investment Management, Five Elms Capital, Varsity Healthcare Partners and Transom Capital Group.
Prior to Evercore, Mr. Brand served as managing director with EFM, Inc. a timber investment management sponsor, a managing director and head of the West Coast office of Dahlman Rose & Co. (now TD Cowen) and at Thomas Weisel Partners Group (now Stifel Financial ), a merchant bank focusing on technology, media, telecommunications, consumer, energy and industrials. Earlier in his career, he practiced general commercial, securities and real estate law with Davis Wright Tremaine, and Lane Powell of Portland, Oregon.
Mr. Brand earned his J.D., cum laude, from Willamette University College of Law, where he served on the Willamette Law Review, and his B.A. in economics from Washington & Lee University.
