Juan Pedro Pérez Cózar
Juan Pedro Pérez Cózar is a senior managing director in Evercore with over 25 years of corporate finance and capital markets experience. He leads the firm’s Spanish and Portuguese advisory businesses.
He has advised on over 125 transactions, predominantly M&A, including relevant public tender-offer experience, but also more than 40 equity capital market deals (mainly IPOs and secondary disposals) and debt advisory transactions, including complex restructurings. Among other recent transactions, he advised on the sale of Vodafone Spain to Zegona; the merger of Masmóvil and Orange Spain; the Zardoya/Otis public takeover; the partial sale of Primafrio to Apollo Infrastructure; the disposal of Cepsa to Carlyle Group; the acquisition of Areas by PAI Partners; the acquisition of ITP by Rolls-Royce; and more than 30 private equity deals in the Iberian market. He also advised on the c. €44 billion acquisition of Endesa by Enel—the largest-ever Spanish cross-border deal.
Mr. Pérez Cózar joined Evercore from Rothschild & Co., where he was a managing director in its advisory business focused on Spanish client coverage. Earlier in his career, he spent seven years at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, responsible for Iberian client coverage.
Mr. Pérez Cózar received a degree in business administration from CUNEF University in Madrid, and is fluent in English, French, German and Spanish.
