Zach Oleksiuk, CFA, managing director, leads Evercore’s shareholder engagement practice within the Strategic, Defense and Shareholder Advisory team. He advises clients on investor relations, corporate governance, ESG, activism defense and M&A.

Mr. Oleksiuk’s transaction experience at Evercore includes Aerojet Rocketdyne in its defense against Steel Partners; BorgWarner in its separation of PHINIA; Bristol-Myers Squibb in its contested acquisition of Celgene; Cimarex in its combination with Cabot; CoreLogic in its defense and its sale to Stone Point and Insight Partners; Delek in its proxy fight against CVR and Carl Icahn; Ritchie Bros. in its acquisition of IAA; and Qualcomm in its defense against Broadcom.

Prior to Evercore, Mr. Oleksiuk served as head of BlackRock Investment Stewardship (Americas). He previously held senior roles at Institutional Shareholder Services.

Mr. Oleksiuk is an active thought leader and has chaired the CII Corporate Governance Advisory Council and served on the PCAOB Standing Advisory Group. He earned an MBA from the University of Maryland and a B.A. from Penn State
