Yuji Matsushita is a managing director in Evercore’s strategic advisory business. He is focused on transactions involving Japanese companies, and advises on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, defence and capital market transactions.

Since joining Evercore in 2017, Mr. Matsushita has advised on strategic and financing deals in a range of sectors, including technology, industrials, and consumer & retail.

Prior to joining Evercore, Mr. Matsushita spent more than 10 years in the investment banking department at UBS, Mizuho Securities and Credit Suisse, working in their Tokyo and London offices, where he was involved in M&A and capital market transactions. He began his career as a management consultant at Nomura Research Institute.

Mr. Matsushita holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science from The University of Tokyo.
