Umesh Yerram

Umesh Yerram is a senior managing director and Evercore’s chief information security officer (CISO). He leads the firm’s information security program and is responsible for developing a robust security strategy and implementing it to ensure the integrity and availability of Evercore’s information assets.

Prior to joining Evercore, Mr. Yerram served as CISO at the Chicago Board Options Exchange and FactSet, where he redefined security as a strategic enabler—aligning it with business growth, technology transformation, secure AI adoption and rigorous compliance demands. He also spent more than a decade as a trusted advisor to Fortune 100 organizations, helping them design resilient, cost-effective security programs that balanced compliance, innovation and business value.

Mr. Yerram holds an M.S in computer science from Villanova University.
