Torera Oyewo
Torera Oyewo is a managing director in the firm’s strategic advisory business and focuses on healthcare.
Ms. Oyewo has worked extensively with strategic and financial investor clients across verticals within the healthcare industry, including life sciences, medtech and healthcare services
Since joining Evercore as a vice president, Ms. Oyewo has advised on a broad range of transactions on both the buy- and sell-side. Notable deals include advising on Novo Nordisk’s acquisitions of Dicerna Pharmaceuticals and Emisphere Technologies; Sanofi’s acquisition of Principia Biopharma; Nestle’s acquisition of Zenpep; Brainlab’s divestment of its orthopaedic joint reconstruction business to Smith & Nephew; and Blue Earth Diagnostics’ sale to Bracco Imaging.
Prior to joining Evercore, she was a member of the healthcare teams of Gleacher Shacklock and DC Advisory based in London. Select transactions include advising HC-One on a simultaneous refinancing and ground rent transaction and a significant bolt-on acquisition (122 homes from BUPA); Bridgepoint Development Capital on its acquisition of Phlexglobal; and Oasis Dental on its sale to Bridgepoint Capital.
Ms. Oyewo earned a BSc. in economics from the University of Nottingham and an MSc. in economics, finance and management from the University of Bristol.
