Tony Tien Phan

Tony Tien Phan is a managing director in Evercore’s strategic advisory practice, focused on midstream energy and infrastructure. He advises corporate and financial sponsor clients across the natural gas, NGL and broader energy value chain.

Mr. Phan has advised on a range of notable transactions, including Colonial Enterprises on its sale to Brookfield Infrastructure; Hartree Partners on the sale of Hartree Natural Gas Storage to Williams; the conflicts committee of EnLink Midstream on its acquisition by ONEOK; TC Energy on the spinoff of South Bow; Targa Resources on its acquisition of Lucid Energy; Macquarie on the sale of Lagoon Water Midstream to Deep Blue; Texon on its sale to Savage; and EnCap Flatrock Midstream on the sale of Rowdy Pipeline to EOG Resources.

Prior to joining Evercore in 2022, Mr. Phan was in the oil & gas investment banking group at Credit Suisse, where he spent seven years advising on energy M&A and capital markets transactions. His experience includes advising on Encana’s acquisition of Newfield Exploration and MEG Energy’s sale of Access Pipeline to Wolf Midstream.

Mr. Phan earned a Bachelor of Commerce with distinction in accounting from the University of Alberta. He holds the CFA, CPA and CA designations.
