Tiarnán O’Rourke

Tiarnán O’Rourke leads Evercore’s Financial Sponsors Group in EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) and is a senior managing director in the firm’s strategic advisory practice based in London.

Mr. O’Rourke has 25 years of experience in investment banking focused on public and private M&A transactions, complex and cross-border M&A transactions, restructuring transactions and capital raisings. During his tenure at Evercore, he has established valuable relationships with financial sponsors globally.

His transaction experience includes advising Towerbrook on the sale of Cartrawler to Expedia; Bain and SilverTree on the sale of XTEL to Oakley Capital; Sabre on the sale of its Hospitality Solutions business to TPG; Intralot on its liability management transactions; Pinebridge Benson Elliott on its public to private of Sigma Capital Group; Warburg Pincus on the sale of Accelya to Vista; Gamesys on its cash and shares sale to JPJ Group; Inflexion Private Equity on its acquisition of Atcore Technology Group; and Vitruvian on its sale of JacTravel to Webjet.

Mr. O’Rourke joined Evercore upon the establishment of its European business in 2006. He began his career with JPMorgan, where he worked in the London and Sydney offices advising on a variety of M&A transactions and capital raisings. Previously, he was a member of JPMorgan Cazenove’s M&A team in the U.K.

Mr. O’Rourke holds an International Bachelor of Commerce with German (first-class honours) from the University of Galway, and a Master of Finance (first-class honours) from the Smurfit Business School at University College Dublin. Mr. O’Rourke serves as a trustee to the Irish Youth Foundation in the U.K.
