Steve Sakwa
Steve Sakwa is a senior managing director and a senior equity research analyst covering REITs.
He has been an Institutional Investor-recognized REIT analyst for the past 15 years, consistently ranking No. 1 or No. 2 in his field, including top-spot recognition in 2022 and 2023.
Prior to joining Evercore ISI, Mr. Sakwa was a managing director and lead equity research analyst at Merrill Lynch covering the U.S. REIT sector as well as serving as global property coordinator, a position in which he oversaw analysts in 10 different regions spanning more than 200 stocks. He also was a research analyst with Morgan Stanley, following the REIT sector. Mr. Sakwa began his career at the May Co. in the buyer training program.
Mr. Sakwa earned a B.A. in economics from the University of Michigan and an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
