Stéphane Houpert

Stéphane Houpert is a managing director in Evercore’s strategic advisory practice based in London, specialising in financial services.  

Mr. Houpert has advised on a broad range of M&A and capital markets transactions across financial services subsectors, including asset and wealth management, life insurance, fund services and banking.

Selected transactions include advising Banco Sabadell on its defence against BBVA; PineBridge on its sale to MetLife; Aztec Group on the sale of a minority stake to Warburg Pincus; 7IM on its sale to Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan; Patrinvest on its investment in Tikehau Capital Advisors; Succession Wealth on its sale to Aviva; AA plc on its sale to TowerBrook and Warburg Pincus; and AIA on its acquisition of CBA’s life insurance operations in Australia and New Zealand.

Prior to joining Evercore, Mr. Houpert was in Citigroup’s FIG team in London and qualified as a CPA at PwC.

He holds an MBA from Insead and an M.Sc. from Kedge Business School.
