Stephan Chischportich
Stephan Chischportich is a senior managing director and head of the firm’s EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) Restructuring group.
He has advised companies and their stakeholders in many of the most complex debt financing, liability management, distressed M&A, and financial restructuring transactions globally.
His recent high-profile transactions include advising Intralot in connection with its liability management transactions; Seadrill Partners on its Chapter 11 balance sheet restructuring; Ocean Rig on its financial restructuring and COMI shift to the Cayman Islands; and creditors to Nordic Aviation Capital on its operational and balance sheet restructuring.
Other notable engagements include acting for Clipper, DOF ASA, Output Services Group, Pacific Drilling, and ZIM Integrated Shipping and acting for the creditors of Borr Drilling, CGG, Dolphin Drilling, Dubai World, Floatel, intu PLC, Navios Maritime Holdings, PA Resources, and Steinhoff.
Prior to joining Evercore, Mr. Chischportich was a vice president in Houlihan Lokey’s financial restructuring group, where he worked in both the London and the Paris offices.
Mr. Chischportich has a degree in business (Joint Honours in Economics and Finance) from McGill University in Canada.
