Seth Bergstein
Seth Bergstein is a senior managing director in the technology group based in New York. He works closely with boards and management teams on strategy, shareholder value creation, M&A and capital raising. His primary areas of focus are professional services, consulting, technology & digital services, and business process outsourcing.
Prior to joining Evercore, Mr. Bergstein was a vice chairman of investment banking at Morgan Stanley based in New York. He founded the Global Services Group in 2001, led global coverage of companies providing technology and business services for 22 years, and served on the management committee of investment banking for 13 years.
Mr. Bergstein has worked closely with numerous companies, several for more than 20 years. Notable transactions since 2001 include the sales of First Data to KKR, PwC Consulting to IBM, Genpact to Bain, Monitor to Deloitte, Booz to PwC, Capco to Wipro, and CDK to Brookfield; the acquisitions by Accenture of Novetta and Umlaut, Vantiv of Worldpay, and Verisk of Wood Mackenzie; the spinoffs of Broadridge, CDK and Western Union; the defense of ADP, CDK and Cognizant; and the IPOs of Booz Allen, Emdeon, Endava, First Data, Genpact, Telus Intenational, Vantiv, Verisk and Worldpay.
Mr. Bergstein is a trustee and member of the executive and finance committees of both The Jewish Board and The Institute of International Education.
He earned a B.A. from Wesleyan University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
