Seth Bergstein

Seth Bergstein is a senior managing director in the Technology group based in New York. He works closely with boards and management teams on strategy, shareholder value creation, M&A and capital raising. His primary areas of focus are professional services, consulting, technology & digital services, and business process outsourcing.

Prior to joining Evercore, Mr. Bergstein was a vice chairman of investment banking at Morgan Stanley based in New York. He founded the Global Services Group in 2001, led global coverage of companies providing technology and business services for 22 years, and served on the management committee of investment banking for 13 years

Mr. Bergstein has worked closely with Accenture, Automatic Data Processing, Broadridge, Genpact, Kearney, PwC and Tata. Notable transactions include sales of First Data to KKR, PwC Consulting to IBM, Genpact to Bain, Monitor to Deloitte, Booz to PwC, Capco to Wipro, and CDK to Brookfield; acquisitions by Vantiv of Worldpay, Verisk of Wood Mackenzie, and Accenture of Novetta, Umlaut and Cognosante; spinoffs of Broadridge, CDK and Western Union; defenses of ADP, CDK and Cognizant; and IPOs of Booz Allen, Emdeon, Endava, First Data, Genpact, Telus International, Vantiv, Verisk WNS and Worldpay.

He earned a B.A. from Wesleyan University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
