Robert Paul is a managing director in the firm’s strategic advisory business, focusing on M&A and financing alternatives in renewable fuels and energy transition broadly.

Mr. Paul has approximately a decade of investment banking experience advising on a range of transactions, including M&A, joint ventures, debt advisory, liability management, in- and out-of-court restructurings, and equity and debt underwritings.

At Evercore, notable deals include advising BlackRock on its acquisition of Vanguard Renewables and Equilibrium on its sale of RNG assets to Suburban Propane. Mr. Paul has advised on numerous other transactions in both traditional energy and energy transition representing ~$20 billion in value.

Prior to joining the firm in 2018, Mr. Paul worked as an associate at Credit Suisse in Houston.

Mr. Paul has a B.A. in managerial economics and political science from Union College and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, with concentrations in statistics and finance.
