Robert Pacha is a senior managing director in the firm’s strategic advisory business, focusing on the midstream sector, including natural gas transportation, compression, gathering, processing and storage, as well as crude oil and refined products transportation and storage.

Since starting Evercore’s Houston-based investment banking practice in 2009, he has advised on many of the largest transactions in the energy sector, including Kinder Morgan on the acquisition of El Paso Corp.; Southern Union Co. on its merger with Energy Transfer Equity; El Paso Corp. on the sale of EP Energy; Targa Resources Partners on its merger with Atlas Pipeline Partners; Williams Partners on the sale to The Williams Cos.; Crestwood Equity Partners on its merger with Crestwood Midstream Partners; Crestwood Gas Services GP on its merger of Crestwood with Inergy Midstream; LinnCo on the contribution of Berry Petroleum to LINN Energy; and PVR GP on the merger of PVR Partners and Regency Energy Partners.

Mr. Pacha has more than two decades of investment banking experience, having previously served as managing director at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he led the firm’s midstream energy and master limited partnership practice.

Mr. Pacha received a B.S. in economics from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and earned an MBA from the Harvard Business School with first-year honors.
