Ranga Covindassamy is a managing director in the firm’s strategic advisory practice focused on the specialty chemicals and materials sectors.

Mr. Covindassamy has advised on a number of notable transactions for corporate and sponsor clients. Recent deals include advising Buckman on its sale to Pritzker Private Capital; Douglas Products on its sale to Brightstar; Krayden on its sale to Audax; Paine Schwartz Partners on the take-private of AgroFresh Solutions; Purolite on its sale to Ecolab; Verdesian Life Sciences on its sale to AEA Investors; Gabriel Performance Products on its sale to Huntsman; Baker Hughes on the sale of its specialty polymers business to SK Capital Partners; Flotek Industries on the sale of Florida Chemical to ADM; and Hexion Holdings’ first lien creditors on its chapter 11 plan of reorganization.

Mr. Covindassamy earned a bachelor’s degree (honors) in finance and mathematics from Georgetown University and an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.
