Preston Comey

Preston Comey is a managing director in Evercore’s strategic advisory practice in the Technology group, and is based in Menlo Park. He focuses on infrastructure technology, including data center technologies, enterprise & mobile networking, and semiconductors.

Mr. Comey has over 18 years of technology investment banking and investing experience. At Evercore, his transactions include the successful defense of Qualcomm from a hostile offer by Broadcom and proxy fight; KKR’s carveout of Omnissa from Broadcom; Recapitalization of Mavenir Systems; HTC’s business cooperation agreement with Google; Qualcomm on its acquisition of Alphawave Semi; Qualcomm and SSW Partners’ acquisition of Veoneer; GlobalFoundries’ IPO; Cellwize’s sale to Qualcomm; Aerohive Networks’ sale to Extreme Networks; Uhana’s sale to VMware; and Brocade’s sale to Broadcom.

Prior to joining Evercore, Mr. Comey was a vice president in the technology group of Barclays, advising clients on strategic and financing transactions, including Qualcomm, Palo Alto Networks, ServiceNow, Getty Images, ATMI, OneWeb and Spansion.

He serves on the board of the San Francisco Public Golf Alliance.

Mr. Comey earned a B.A. in economics from Princeton University.
