Peter Phipson

Peter Phipson is a managing director of Evercore’s strategic advisory business, specialising in financial services.

He has advised on a broad range of M&A and capital markets transactions across various subsectors of the financial services market, with a particular focus on insurance distribution and underwriting.

Notable transactions include advising on the sale of Convex to Onex and AIG; the sale of Isio to Aquiline; the sale of AllClear to NSM; the sale of SRG to Warburg Pincus; the sale of BMS to Eurazeo; the sale of CFC to EQT; Convex’s capitalization, launch and follow-on equity raises; and McGill and Partners’ capitalisation and launch.

Prior to Evercore, Mr. Phipson was a partner of Lexicon Partners, the corporate finance advisory business acquired by Evercore in 2011. Before joining Lexicon in 2007, he worked at Ernst & Young in the financial services M&A team.

Mr. Phipson has a degree in Spanish from Bristol University.
