Ollie Clayton
Ollie Clayton is a senior managing director and co-head of Evercore’s European financial institutions group.
Mr. Clayton has advised on a broad range of transactions in the financial services industry, including in asset and wealth management, banking and specialty finance, life assurance, brokerage/exchange, fintech and professional services sectors.
Mr. Clayton has advised on over 100 completed transactions, including the sale of 7IM to OTPP; Aquiline on the acquisition of Wealth at Work; TA Associates on the acquisition of a majority stake in Fairstone; M&G on its demerger from Prudential and subsequent listing; the merger of Tilney and Smith & Williamson; the IPO of Old Mutual Asset Management; the sale of Premium Credit by Cinven to Towerbrook; the sale of KPMG’s Restructuring Business to H.I.G.; the sale of Cazenove Capital to Schroders; and all the major building society mergers since 2009.
Prior to Evercore, Mr. Clayton was a managing director and partner at Lexicon Partners. He started his career in the financial institutions group at Schroders, which was acquired by Citigroup.
Mr. Clayton has a double first-class degree in history from Cambridge University.
