Nick Pomponi
Nick Pomponi is a senior managing director in the Technology group at Evercore and leads its global software focus.
Prior to joining Evercore, Mr. Pomponi spent over 16 years at Goldman Sachs, where he was a partner and global co-head of software within the investment banking division. Over his tenure, he has advised technology companies in both the infrastructure and application sectors and at all stages of the business life cycle, working on strategic M&A, raising capital through IPOs, equity and debt raises, and other transactions.
Recent notable deals include advising on Dayforce’s sale to Thoma Bravo, Verint’s sale of Thoma Bravo, Epicor’s sale to CVC, Elite’s sale to Franscico Partners and previously IBM’s acquisition of Red Hat, Ultimate Software’s sale to Blackstone and H&F, Koch’s acquisition of Infor, Endurance’s sale to Clearlake, Nuance’s spinoff of Cerence, and Paycor’s sale to Apax. He has also led the IPOs of Datadog, Dayforce, MongoDB, DigitalOcean, Vertex and Squarespace, among others.
He is on the Board of Trustees for the Chesapeake Bay Foundation and also sits on the President’s Advisory Council at Villanova University.
Mr. Pomponi holds a B.A. in economics from Villanova University and an MBA from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business.
