Nicholas Salzman

Nicholas Salzman is a managing director in the firm’s Energy Transition group and is focused on power, renewables and energy transition-related companies.

He has more than 12 years of experience advising clients on M&A, capital raises, and corporate finance and strategy, including nine at Evercore, where he has advised on almost $100 billion of transaction value.

Recent deals include advising Calpine on its sale to Constellation Energy; Riverstone Holdings on the sale of its minority interest in Pattern Energy; Cogentrix Energy on its sale to Vistra; Capital Power on its acquisition of two gas-fired power assets from LS Power; and Pattern Energy on its acquisition of Cordelio Power. At Evercore, Mr. Salzman has also supported the board of directors and management teams of multiple public companies on strategic business reviews.

Previously, Mr. Salzman worked as a management consultant at Booz & Co. based in Washington, D.C., advising on corporate strategy and operational restructuring initiatives for Fortune 500 industrial clients that included Boeing, Lockheed Martin and Olin.

He earned an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business and a B.S. in mechanical engineering from Johns Hopkins University, where his research roles included serving as a technical aide on a NASA program led by the Applied Physics Lab.
