Michael Wu

Michael Wu is a managing director in the firm’s Technology strategic advisory practice and focuses on the software sector. He is based in Menlo Park.

Mr. Wu has extensive experience advising companies on strategic M&A and raising capital in the equity and debt capital markets. He has worked with leading companies in the front-office application and cybersecurity software sectors, including Cvent, Mimecast, Palo Alto Networks, Ping Identity, Qualtrics, Sailpoint, Sprinklr and Verint.

Previously, Mr. Wu was a director at Citigroup in its software investment banking group, and before that, an equity research associate at JMP Securities. Prior to his career in finance, Mr. Wu was as an electrical engineer at Apple and a member of the original iPad engineering team.

Mr. Wu earned a B.S. in electrical engineering and computer science from UC Berkeley, with a minor in music, and holds a Master of Financial Engineering from University of California, Berkeley’s Haas School of Business.
