Michael Schmidt
Michael Schmidt is a managing director in Evercore’s advisory business. He is based in Frankfurt, Germany, where he focuses on German-speaking clients as well as the industrial, mobility and service sectors.
During the course of his career, Mr. Schmidt has led and executed a wide array of notable transactions for corporate and financial sponsor clients, including Bilfinger, Daimler, Demag Cranes, Diehl, DIHAG, Envisics, Freudenberg, Honsel, Kaefer Isoliertechnik, Manroland, Neumayer-Tekfor, Pfleiderer, Rheinmetall, Qualcomm, Spie, Temmler, TMD Friction, Tognum, Versatel, Wahler, ZF and Advent, Carlyle, Clayton Dubilier & Rice, Chequers Capital, H.I.G. Capital, Intermediate Capital Group, KPS Capital, Nordic Capital and Warburg Pincus.
Prior to joining Evercore, Mr. Schmidt was a director at Lazard, focusing on the industrial, mobility and service sectors. He started his career in the M&A team of Close Brothers.
Mr. Schmidt holds a Diploma in International Business from ESB Reutlingen and an MBA from California State University.
