Matthew Wang
Matthew Wang is a managing director and the chief administrative officer of the U.S. investment banking business. He also co-leads the firm’s digital gaming investment banking coverage.
His investment banking experience includes Lucky Bucks’ Chapter 11 restructuring process, TCGplayer’s sale to eBay, Evercore’s acquisition of Lexicon Partners, Evercore’s alliance with Kotak in India and NH Group (formerly Woori) in South Korea, and numerous equity and debt capital markets transactions.
Prior to rejoining Evercore, Mr. Wang was a cofounder of To Be Continued, a New York-based game company, until its merger with 5th Planet Games. He received a LIMA award for his work on the Twilight: New Moon Board Game. Before attending graduate school, Mr. Wang worked in the M&A group at Evercore and in the energy group at UBS.
Mr. Wang earned a B.A. in economics – political science from Columbia College and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
