Matthew Basch
Matthew Basch is a managing director in the firm’s strategic advisory business and is based in Chicago.
At Evercore, Mr. Basch has advised on a number of notable strategic transactions for public and private clients as well as financial sponsors, including Altium Packaging (Loews), Crown Holdings, IPL (Madison Dearborn Partners), Novolex (Apollo), Pregis (Warburg Pincus), Tekni-Plex (Genstar), TricorBraun (Ares) and Trivium Packaging (OTPP).
Prior to joining Evercore, Mr. Basch was a director in the industrials group at Barclays and its predecessor, Lehman Brothers, with a focus on the packaging and paper & forest products sectors. He also previously worked at Croft & Bender and A.G. Edwards in strategic advisory and capital markets roles.
Mr. Basch earned his B.B.A. in finance and accounting from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business and his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
