Mark Owen

Mark Owen is a managing director in Real Estate Strategic Advisory at Evercore. He focuses on large-scale, entity or portfolio-level recapitalizations and sales, joint ventures, continuation vehicles, and opco minority interest or outright sales. Over nearly 20 years, Mr. Owen played a critical role in the execution of approximately 70 transactions with a total capitalization of ~$50 billion. He works out of both New York City and Charlottesville, Virginia.

Prior to joining Evercore, Mr. Owen spent 10 years in Eastdil Secured’s structured transactions group based out of New York City and Washington, D.C. His transaction experience included public debt and equity, public and private M&A, joint ventures and recapitalizations, debt placement and portfolio and asset level sales in nearly every property type on a national basis. Earlier in his career, Mr. Owen worked as an analyst in the capital markets group of EDENS, a private shopping center REIT.

Mr. Owen graduated magna cum laude from Clemson University with a B.S. in financial management and  is a chartered financial analyst.
