Luke Squire-Smith

Luke Squire-Smith is a managing director in the firm’s strategic advisory practice. He is based in Menlo Park and focuses on clients in the biopharma sector. 

Prior to joining Evercore, Mr. Squire-Smith spent nearly 13 years at BofA Securities between London and San Francisco. He has been involved in numerous notable strategic advisory transactions during his career, including Gilead’s acquisitions of Kite and Cymabay, Halozyme’s acquisitions of Antares and Elektrofi, Jazz’s acquisition of GW Pharmaceuticals, the sale of ProfoundBio to Genmab, the sale of Zogenix to UCB, the sale of HiBio to Biogen and Merrimack’s sale of oncology assets to Ipsen. Mr. Squire-Smith has also helped biopharma clients raise ~$40B in the capital markets across equity, equity-linked and traditional debt instruments.

He graduated from Imperial College, London, with a master’s in chemistry.
