Laurence Cheng

Laurence Cheng is a managing director in Evercore’s Real Estate Strategic Advisory group. He helps lead the firm’s efforts in Asia and is based in Hong Kong.

He is responsible for originating, developing and managing the group’s mandates across funds, joint ventures, recapitalizations, sales and minority stake/entity-level investments, and is also involved with the coverage of institutional investors and asset managers across Asia Pacific.

Prior to joining Evercore, Mr. Cheng was a managing director in PJT Park Hill’s real estate group. He also worked at Taubman Asia as head of investments, responsible for real estate acquisitions and asset management in Asia, after starting his career with Goldman Sachs as an analyst.

Mr. Cheng received a B.Sc. in biochemistry from the University of New South Wales, Australia. He is a chartered financial analyst.
