Kristy Grippi is a senior managing director and head of Equity Capital Markets at Evercore. The ECM group is responsible for sourcing, structuring and marketing initial public offerings, private placements, follow-ons, and convertible offerings for clients across all industry sectors. In addition to working with clients on equity and equity-linked financings, ECM also advises on the market impact of strategic assignments such as mergers and acquisitions, SPAC mergers and PIPE capital raises, spinoffs, divestitures and corporate restructurings.
Ms. Grippi has more than 20 years of industry experience and joined Evercore from Goldman Sachs, where she was head of the industrials ECM group and equity syndicate. Prior to covering industrials clients, Ms. Grippi worked with companies in the financial institutions and financial technology sectors for nearly 10 years.
Ms. Grippi has advised on over 500 bookrun transactions, including some of the world’s largest IPOs (Bank of China, Bovespa, Frontier Group, Global Foundries, Visa) and follow-ons (multiple offerings for AIG, American Airlines, ARAMARK, Carnival, Fiat-Chrysler/Stellantis, Gates Industrial, MetLife, Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group, Wabtec, Wells Fargo). She has also helped structure unique offerings such as the formation of the retrocessional insurance writer Blue Ocean, IPO for the first alternative asset manager (KKR PEI), Oaktree’s GSTrUE offering, the quad-tranche offering for Norwegian Cruise Lines in 2020, and PIPEs for Advantage Solutions and Nextdoor during their respective de-SPAC processes.
An avid sports fan and former collegiate player, she serves on the Board of Scarsdale Youth Lacrosse Association.
She graduated cum laude with a B.A. in mathematics from Williams College.
