Julien Baril is a managing director in Evercore’s strategic advisory practice in London. He joined the firm at the launch of its European platform and has over 17 years’ experience advising on mergers, acquisitions and capital markets transactions, with particular expertise in European public takeovers. He has advised across a broad range of industries, including the listed investment trust space.

Notable transactions include advising Alliance Pharma on its sale to DBAY; Benchmark Holdings on the sale of its genetics business to Novo Holdings; Ted Baker on its sale to Authentic Brands Group; John Laing Group on its sale to KKR; JPM Infrastructure on its acquisition of Falck Renewables; Shaftesbury on its all-share merger with Capco; Nestlé on the sale of Galderma to EQT; Shire on its acquisition of Baxalta and the takeover offer from AbbVie; and Phaunos Timber Fund on its hostile takeover from Stafford Capital.

Mr. Baril holds an M.Sc. in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics and an M.Sc. in Banking, Finance and Insurance from Université Paris Dauphine.
