Jonathan Weinstein
Jonathan Weinstein is a managing director in the firm’s strategic advisory business. He advises companies in the transportation sector, with a particular focus on aviation, including passenger and cargo airlines, as well as lessors.
At Evercore, Mr. Weinstein’s notable strategic transactions for public and private clients include Apollo and JF Lehman’s take-private of Atlas Air; Western Global Airlines’ Chapter 11 restructuring; GE’s sale of GECAS to Aercap; GOL’s aircraft lease restructuring and lessor-funded secured notes; Baring PE Asia and PAI’s acquisition of World Freight Co.; Knight Transportation’s merger with Swift Transportation; and Burlington Northern Santa Fe’s sale to Berkshire Hathaway.
Prior to joining Evercore, Mr. Weinstein was a senior analyst at Merrill Lynch, where he advised on transactions in the transportation, infrastructure, gaming and leisure industries.
He graduated cum laude from Cornell University with a B.S. in applied economics and management.
