Jonathan Bassani

Jonathan Bassani is a managing director in the firm’s Canadian advisory business. Now in Toronto, he was initially based in New York focused on companies in the information and media sectors.

Mr. Bassani’s transaction experience includes advising Altus Group on the sale of its global property tax business to Ryan LLC; Westland Insurance on its capital partnership with Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan; TMX Group on its acquisition of VettaFi; Ritchie Bros. on its acquisition of IAA; Ratehub.ca on its partnership with Novacap; Galvanize on its sale to Diligent; Intelex Technologies on its sale to Fortive; and Nasdaq on its acquisition of Verafin.

Prior to joining Evercore, Mr. Bassani was a senior financial analyst at the CBC, Canada’s national public broadcaster, and a financial analyst in Kraft Foods’ operations finance division in Toronto.

Mr. Bassani graduated with distinction from the Schulich School of Business at York University and earned an MBA from Harvard Business School.
