John Crowe is a senior managing director and the chief compliance officer for Evercore.

Prior to joining the firm in 2010, Mr. Crowe was a director and head of the global control room and central compliance functions for Barclays Capital, which he joined as part of the acquisition of the U.S. operations of Lehman Brothers, where he’d held a similar role from 2003 to 2008. Earlier, Mr. Crowe was a senior vice president and director of compliance for the Lehman Brothers private client services division.

He earned a B.A. from Villanova University and a J.D. from Quinnipiac University School of Law.
