Hikari Banshoya

Hikari Banshoya is a managing director in the structured capital solutions group at Evercore, where she leads the group’s debt distribution efforts on behalf of corporate and financial sponsor clients.

Prior to joining Evercore in 2024, Ms. Banshoya was co-head of private placement syndicate in the global banking and markets division at Goldman Sachs. Before relocating to New York in 2018, she began her career in the fixed income, currencies and commodities group in the securities division at Goldman Sachs in Tokyo, where she held institutional sales roles across various fixed income assets, including structured credit, alternatives, derivatives and foreign exchange.

Ms. Banshoya earned a B.A. in liberal arts from the University of Tokyo, where she studied sociolinguistics.
