Gregory Berube

Gregory Berube is a senior managing director in Evercore’s Liability Management & Restructuring Group, with more than two decades of experience advising companies, financial sponsors, and creditors on complex capital markets and restructuring transactions.

He has led liability management exercises, in-court and out-of-court restructurings, and M&A, including critical financings that supported these processes.

Representative transactions include advisory and financing engagements for Avaya Communications, California Resources, Dean Foods, Form Technology, GenOn Energy, GNC, GoTo, Hearthside Foods, Ivanti Software, Multiplan, Murray Energy, Peabody Energy, Pretium Packaging, Six Flags, Toys “R” Us, Tronox Holdings and Ultra Petroleum.

Before joining Evercore, Mr. Berube was a managing director and head of Americas restructuring finance & advisory at Goldman Sachs & Co. He began his career in Goldman’s leveraged finance capital markets and syndicate groups, working in both New York and London.

Mr. Berube earned a B.A. in psychology from Colgate University and serves on the New York Advisory Board of The Posse Foundation, a nonprofit focused on expanding access to higher education.
