Graham Nix is a senior managing director in Evercore’s financial institutions group, based in New York. He works closely with boards and management teams advising banks and financial services companies on strategy, mergers and acquisitions, capital raising and balance sheet solutions.

Before joining Evercore, Mr. Nix was a managing director in the financial institutions group at Morgan Stanley, where he focused on the banking and specialty finance sectors. Prior to that, he spent nine years at KBW, advising regional and community banks on strategic initiatives.

Notable strategic transactions include the sale of Susquehanna Bancshares to BB&T; First Horizon’s acquisitions of IberiaBank and Capital Bank; Region’s acquisition of Ascentium Capital from Warburg Pincus; Truist’s sale of its insurance subsidiary, TIH; Synchrony’s acquisitions of PayPal Credit, Loop Commerce and GP Shopper; KeyCorp’s acquisition of First Niagara; CIT’s sale to First Citizens; multiple bank acquisitions for United Community Banks; and FNB’s acquisition of Howard Bank.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Nix spent two years at PwC in the audit and assurance group, working with financial services companies.

He holds a B.S. in business administration and accounting from Washington and Lee University.
