Graham Copeland
Graham Copeland is a managing director in Evercore’s strategic advisory practice, specialising in financial services.
Prior to Evercore, Mr. Copeland was a partner of Lexicon Partners, the corporate finance advisory business acquired by Evercore in 2011. Previously, he was with Goldman Sachs in London.
Select transactions include the sale of jmg Group to GTCR; the sale of PineBridge Investments to MetLife Investment Management; the acquisitions of Probitas and AIG Life Limited by Aviva plc; the sale of GRP to Brown & Brown; the sale of the AA to Warburg Pincus and Towerbrook; and the acquisition by AIA Group of Commonwealth Bank of Australia’s life insurance operations in Australia and New Zealand.
In the banking and leasing sectors, notable deals include the defence of Banco Sabadell against the hostile offer from BBVA; the sale of Tusker to Lloyds Banking Group; the defence of Provident Financial against the hostile offer from NSF; the sale of Zenith to Bridgepoint; the acquisition of MCB Finance by International Personal Finance; and Prudential on the sale of Egg to Citigroup.
Mr. Copeland has a first-class degree in Economics and Management from Oxford University.
