David Motemaden

David Motemaden is a senior managing director covering the U.S. property & casualty insurance and business services sectors.

Mr. Motemaden ranked No. 1 in the Extel (formerly Institutional Investor) 2025 and 2022 All-America Research Team for nonlife insurance, and also earned a No. 2 ranking in 2023 and 2024.

Prior to joining the firm in 2018, Mr. Motemaden was an investment analyst at Viking Global Investors in London covering global insurance equities. He was also an equity research associate at Credit Suisse covering the U.S. life insurance sector and a credit risk management analyst at Morgan Stanley focusing on financial institutions.

He holds a B.S. in finance from Pennsylvania State University and is a chartered financial analyst.
