Damien Fisher
Damien Fisher advises companies globally across industries in connection with M&A, special committee situations, structured and cross-border transactions, corporate governance issues, contested shareholder situations and hostile/raid activity.
Mr. Fisher has advised clients on >$400 billion of some of the largest and most complex transactions, activism campaigns, proxy fights and unsolicited takeovers over the past decade, including Ritchie Brothers/IAA, Store Capital/GIC, Oaktsreet, LXP defense against Land & Buildings, KKR C-Corp conversion and dual class recapitalization, MGM Growth Properties/VICI, Aimco/AIRC spinoff and defense against Land & Buildings, Treehouse Foods defense against JANA partners, Invitation Homes/Starwood Waypoint, Regency/Equity One, Cousins/Parkway, GLPI/Pinnacle, MGM spinoff of MGP, Comdata/Fleetcor, Motorola Enterprise/Zebra, and Motorola spinoff of Mobility and sale to Google.
Prior to joining Evercore, Mr. Fisher was an Executive Director in J.P. Morgan’s Global M&A group in New York, with responsibility for real estate, gaming & lodging as well as consumer/Retail, technology and industrials sectors. At J.P Morgan, Mr. Fisher served as policy officer to the firm’s fairness and valuation committee and was a member of the corporate defense and shareholder activism practice.
Mr. Fisher holds an MBA and an M.A. from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and the Lauder Institute and earned an M.Sc. in computer science and economics (magna cum laude) from the University of Zurich.
