Dame Alison Carnwath

Dame Alison Carnwath is a senior advisor at Evercore and has been involved in numerous introductions for clients and for Evercore bankers over the past 20 years.

Dame Alison is chair of the compensation committee of EG Group, a board member and member of the audit and the nomination and governance committees of PACCAR, and a director of CICAP (Coller Capital).

In the not-for-profit sector, she is a member of the Advisory Council of the St George’s Society of New York and a trustee of The Royal Society of Arts. Dame Alison also engages in mentoring assignments in the U.K. and overseas.

Her past directorships include many FTSE 100 companies, including Man Group, Gallaher, Friends Provident, Barclays and National Power. Formerly, she was chair of the strategic advisory board, investment committee and management board at LivingBridge Equity Partners; director and chair of the audit committee at Zurich Insurance Group; a member of the supervisory board and chair of the audit committee at BASF; and chairman of Land Securities for 10 years. Dame Alison was a senior adviser at Lexicon, a non-executive director at BP, chair of the Vitec Group, a managing director of Donaldson Lufkin and Jenrette, and a partner in the Phoenix Partnership (a corporate advisory and private-equity business).

She is a graduate chartered accountant and has two honorary doctorates.
