Chris Buckingham

Chris Buckingham is a managing director in Evercore’s Infrastructure and Energy Transition group, focused on structured and project finance debt advisory.

Mr. Buckingham has a wide range of experience in the structuring and execution of nonrecourse and limited-recourse project finance debt transactions that have raised more than $65 billion across multiple energy and infrastructure industry sectors, debt markets and different geographies.

His advisory experience includes innovative and award-winning transactions. Notable deals include Rio Grande LNG, Cedar LNG and Woodfibre LNG. He aims to provide market-leading independent advice and help clients achieve their objectives with competitive and efficient financing outcomes.

Prior to joining Evercore, Mr. Buckingham served as the head of energy project finance for the Americas at MUFG. Earlier in his career, he worked in the corporate and investment bank at J.P. Morgan in New York and London.

Mr. Buckingham earned a B.A. in economics from Pace University in New York City.
