Brian Cotter

Brian Cotter is a managing director in Evercore’s Private Capital Advisory group and focuses on advising institutional limited partners on secondary market liquidity transactions and providing execution services.

Mr. Cotter has extensive relationships with institutional investors across North America and works closely with limited partners on the execution of strategic sales and structured liquidity alternatives. He has worked with leading public and private pensions, investment consultants, university endowments, foundations, sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, financial institutions, family offices and other owners of private financial assets.

Prior to joining Evercore, Mr. Cotter was a vice president in the private capital advisory groups at Jefferies and Greenhill. He previously spent three years at Credit Suisse as an investment banking associate in the consumer and retail group after beginning his career in institutional equity sales at Height Capital Markets.

Mr. Cotter earned a B.A. in political science from the University of Vermont and an MBA from Vanderbilt University.
