Bill Thompson
Bill Thompson is a senior managing director and co-head of Evercore’s Real Estate Strategic Advisory business.
Previously Mr. Thompson was founder and co-head of Greenhill Co.’s capital advisory group and co-founder of the Credit Suisse real estate private fund group, which he helped form in 2000 at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette prior to its merger with Credit Suisse. Before joining DLJ, he was a managing director at Robertson Stephens in the private fund and private capital management groups. In the above roles, Mr. Thompson has overseen more than 165 real estate capital raises totaling over $100 billion of capital. Earlier in his career, he was a managing director at LaSalle Advisors, where his responsibilities included acquisitions and new business development, of which he was global head.
Mr. Thompson previously served on the Real Estate Advisory Board of Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management.
He holds a B.A. from Vanderbilt University and an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
