Ben Carpenter

Ben Carpenter is a senior managing director in the firm’s strategic advisory practice focused on clients within the life sciences sector.

Mr. Carpenter joined Evercore from J.P. Morgan, where he was global co-head of healthcare investment banking and previously the co-head of J.P. Morgan’s North American mergers & acquisitions business.

Mr. Carpenter has advised a broad range of companies on significant strategic transactions across the life sciences sector.  His advisory experience encompasses public sell-side (Akero’s sale to Novo Nordisk, Horizon Therapeutics’ sale to Amgen, Celgene’s sale to Bristol Myers Squibb), private sell-side (Carmot’s sale to Roche, Nimbus’ sale to Takeda) and buy-side transactions (AbbVie’s acquisition of ImmunoGen, Astellas’ acquisition of Iveric Bio, Roche’s acquisition of Spark).

Mr. Carpenter earned a B.S. from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia and an MBA from the University of Michigan.
