Ari Berger
Ari Berger is a senior managing director in the firm’s investment banking business and focuses on advising clients across the retail, apparel and restaurant sectors.
With more than 20 years in the industry, Mr. Berger has extensive experience across the full spectrum of investment banking transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, capital raises, defense advisory and restructurings.
He has been a trusted advisor on a number of notable transactions, including the acquisitions by Foot Locker of WSS and atmos as well as the sale of RugsUSA to Francisco Partners, Supervalu to United Natural Foods, Save-A-Lot to Onex, Mattress Firm to Steinhoff, Grocery Outlet to Hellman & Friedman, Yankee Candle to Jarden, and Dollar General to KKR.
Prior to joining Evercore, he worked in the respective consumer/retail groups of Barclays, Lehman Brothers and Credit Suisse.
Mr. Berger holds a B.S. in economics and mathematics from Duke University.
